At GCC, Quality, Safety, Health and the Environment are a top priority as the Company is committed to providing a safe working environment for its employees, subcontractors and the public.
The Company has an established Quality, Safety and Environmental Department whose utmost priority is to provide continuous support in all aspects of health, safety and the environment with regards to its site and administrative operations, and in full conformance with all applicable legislations. All employees are regularly trained in a variety of Health & Safety issues to ensure continued awareness and up-to-date knowledge.
The employee and top management participation and strong commitment at every level of the Company, has made GCC a pioneer in the Cyprus Construction Industry, in H & S matters and in Site Safety Committees. The Company has repeatedly received the Yearly Safety Shield by the Safety and Health Council of Cyprus. All together, GCC has received 9 Safety Shields for achieving 1st place and 3 Commendations for achieving 2nd place for the years 1999 – 2004 (the Competitions were cancelled after 2004).
GCC implements and maintains a Quality Management System, certified in accordance to the ISO9001: 2008 Standard that enables the Company to comply fully to its contractual commitments, as well as with the relevant legislation and the Construction Industry Standards.
GCC was first awarded its ISO Certification in 2000 and has continued to be awarded with the Certification every year and with congratulations from the Certification Companies for running one of the best systems in the industry.
